Thumbnail & Logo, Research & Development

s  Logo and Thumbnail Research Post *The Research was made by Jonathan, I continued further with along with the development and the Final Product *  Research  The podcast LSD discusses mainly topics that are currently "hot" or relevant in pop culture and the music scene more specifically, my idea was at first to make our logo and font conform to those of other music podcast, an exemplar one being Dissect on Spotify.  But our survey showed that people did not want a serious tone for our podcast that we decided to name LSD, since we now are forced to conform to a new genre namely to that of a more comedic nature we decided to pull inspiration from other podcasts. The name LSD being an abbreviation for Lyrics, Sound , Decibels allowed for a logo that resembled that of Ryan Higa's Off the pill, which is mostly comedy. Our color scheme should not fit that of Spotify interface which is mainly black, in fact Jonathan's choice to make the LSD logo include cold colors (sky bl...

Post Modernism

Timeline Pre Modernism - Authority and the very thing of what we make reality from which include how humans are created or values determined, and etc comes directly from God and religion. Modernism - Everything we know and Do comes directly from Man or humans, Religion is NOT the only factor. Science and logic now determines what we should and shouldn't do. The world is a lot more complex, there isn't just one way to understand it. Post Modernism -  Completely rejects both ideas as it beliefs that nothing is completely true and nothing is false. The way we makes sense of reality is completely depends on the a person perspective, background and beliefs.  Important Keywords : Objective Natural Reality : The Physical reality itself, nature, the world and the Universe as we see it. Fandom Theory - Henry Jenkins A fandom is a collection of people who form communities based on their love for media texts  such as movies, books, music and etc .  A fandom is different with regular fans, as the shows that they like would define their personality either on a physical form like through clothing or mentally through action or behavior. Some fandoms might even make their own media texts based on their favorite shows, this is usually called fan fictions and people who create them are called PROSUMERS. Fandoms Summarized:  Semiotic Productivity: Fans understand the meanings behind the media text.  Enunciative Productivity: 'fanspeak' Fans sharing  the product to other people, styling the same way as the characters. Textual Productivity: Prosumers ( fan who makes their own media texts ) content like Fan Fiction. David Gauntlett 1. We get SOME of our identity from the media. But most is still influenced from outside the media 2. In the past, representations are simple. Now, representations are complex.  Four Factors Fluidity -   People do not have fixed personality, it changes through time Constructed - The mass media constructs identities through representation that it shows us. Which influences on how the audience view things Negotiated - How we feel to the various representations that are given, Do we agree with them or go against them?
