PODCAST - Tutorial demonstration

In this day our group went to the Podcast / Radio room within our school. One of the teachers, Mr Wayan gave us a in depth tutorial on how to operate and identify the various machines and technologies that is useful for Podcasting, such as: 
  • Microphones
  • Cables or Wires
  • Audio mixers & Interface



We were also shown, how to connect various cables of different types together and how they are detected by the computer or software. Mr Wayan gave various recommendations of products useful for a podcast that is in a budget. Some microphones are better for podcast while some are better for voice acting, He also told us that our phones could be a good device to record voices. 

Finally, at the end of the demonstration, the setup of the podcast would be prepared by next week and during that time We would record the actual podcast with all of the preparations that we had done. So all that we need to do know, is to finish up all the setup like scripts, facts, adverts and the timeline or main points. We also need to book a recording session by next week.

Analyze the key characteristics of postmodern media? Jean Baudrillard stated that post modernist texts is a copy of a copy in where there is reality, Heightened reality and hyper reality, with each one being more surreal than the other. A Documentary like 'Hailstorm' ( 2022 ) available on Netflix is an example of heightened reality as it includes aspects that are real such as natural environment, sounds and real life locations but at the same time includes artificial editing that creates different meaning in the form of music, narration and camera angles.
